It was 2 years in the making from one idea thanks to our Rotary Club of Stanthorpe Events Chair and Ballandean Estate Host Leeanne Gangemi.
After holding successfully 27 years of Opera in the Vineyard, this inaugural Charity Event needed to be a success or come up with something new.  Everybody who attended agreed, this is a fun way to fundraise for Charity.  We missed out because of covid19 last year, but this year, we got it off the ground and everybody had a great time and will be back with friends next year.  Our MC PDG Ross Smith was exceptional and our Race Caller Ian Henderson kept the fun and action fast past and moving along.  A great day.  Thanks to all the Rotarians and Friends of Rotary for their contributions both in donations for the multi draw prizes, the winners prizes and most of all for their time planning, setting up and taking down.  The new committee will begin planning in June for next year.  Have a look at the photo album on this website.
Fran Hodgson organised Fashions on the field which was a hit.  Many of the guests entered.  Judge Lorraine was assigned the task of choosing the winners and what a great job she did with that.  Our bookie Coordinator Jim Barnes got his team together and trained all the bookies who were sensational.  Janet Butler organised the winning tickets on stage with Ian and Ross our MC's.  Our Rotary Club of Stanthorpe Young Ambassador Karma O'Reilly was so helpful in all aspects of the setting up and the presentations with the multidraw raffles with President Julia. Thanks to Jim Baxter for taking on the role of Saturday setup and being responsible for the BBQ trailor transport.  Thanks to Geoff Marsden who organised the bar staff.  Dave Hambly coordinated the BBQ, Julie Beddow got a team together for the food for General Admission and Rotarians.  Spinning the wheel was another great way of utilising funny money and other activities on the day.  Heather Watters organised the tea and coffee.  Jo Bell organised the First Aid.  Decorations by Ann Richardson and her team and Melissa Pascoe was our Maitre de.  Our Treasurer as always, kept the money both real and funny money working for everyone.  Together the coordinators and their teams made it all work.  Our music and big screen organisers from "Top Beat", did a marvelous job.  Dancing at the end was with Cole Train.
