Thank you to those who have offered to do Meals on Wheels.
With new restrictions, I thought we would struggle, but appreciate
the
“young” ones stepping up.

HAPPY EASTER ALL! Julie Beddow
Notes from President Fran Hodgson
Best wishes to everyone as you cope with ‘staying inside’; maybe having to close your shop or business, losing your job , looking for toilet paper and hand sanitizer and writing long lists of things to do around the house!!! I am really missing our weekly Rotary meetings and fellowship ....are you? I will be sending invites out to members to join Zoom over the next two weeks.
Thank you to Julie for organizing the Meals on Wheels roster for next week. Those doing the meal runs must ensure that they sanitise their hands before taking each meal in to the client. Please follow all the social distancing rules as well.
I have asked Julia to attach the Community Contact flyer. If you know of anyone who might need , or appreciate a phone call to see how they are going, please contact the Granite Belt Neighbourhood Centre and provide details.
Now that you all have time to read the April edition of the Rotary Down Under Magazine , Check out P. 40 ... you will find an article about Stanthorpe Water Relief , particularly about George Dean President of RC Archerfield and his wonderful water donations. The Stanthorpe Rotary Club get a mention.
PP Karen Thomas from the Rotary Club of Burleigh Heads has been confirmed as our District Governor for the 2022- 2023 Rotary year.
David Harmon from RC of Ballina on Richmond has been in touch to say that their Douse the Drought Poker Run planned for August this year has been postponed. The club will consider running it in September/October if things are back to normal!! Otherwise it could be in March / April 2021 .
Please send me any nominations for PHFs in the next week or two as time is running out to get the Certificates and badges before the end of my Rotary year.
Jokes
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
The government has announced a sweeping ban on jokes about social distancing, in an effort to contain their spread.

Bill sent me this picture and I thought to share it with you. I have been so busy, I forgot to give Bill a call last week.
