The Spooky Walk Committee (Kylie, Leanne W, Julia and Ann) would like to thank all members for their help in putting together, running, pulling down and storing Spooky Walk, It was a balmy spring night in the park, filled with happy, smiling faces and amazing costumes. Even the parents got into the mood with dressing up!. We have had many positive responses passed on  to us from families who went,  so it  looks like we are achieving our primary aim of providing a fun, safe event for families to enjoy together. At this early stage we estimate about 450 children attended with accompanying parents (about 300 last year!) and have made several thousand dollars profit. If anyone has any feedback, please pass this on to Ann. The Spooky Walk committee will be doing a review of the event in the next couple of weeks so would welcome any feedback.
Treasurer Peter reports he banked $2539 from the gate takings and $1429 from the Burger Van. Expenses still to be calculated. Community Service Chair, Alec, also wishes to add his thanks to those who ran the Rotary Burger Van while he was busy scaring kids and feeding them "eyeball eggs", "severed fingers" etc. A few preliminary photos posted below.

Tony has been tracking down Christmas Cakes and Puddings and has sent all members the flyer below. As he has indicated please let him know orders by 12 Nov and pay Peter K the appropriate amount.

Gundy Rotary have advised that the 2 week RAWCS trip to Nepal next April is looking to cost $2500-3000 incl flights. A few of the original interested people have had to pull out so if there is anyone interested there are some vacancies. Contact myself or President Kim for further information.

Some of us attended the film night "Bohemian Rhapsody" in support of Polio Eradication, in Warwick last night and I, for one thoroughly enjoyed it. There is still the option to attend in Tenterfield next Wednesday as indicated in the flyer below. Remember this movie is in lieu of a meeting next Monday evening, 5th Nov.

Also below please see letter from past member Philip Charles, who is now involved with RAWCS projects in Dist 9630 where we sent our $16000+ donation from the Drought Fundraiser evening.

Remember that Rotary has partnered with Amiens History Assn for the event to Commemorate the centenary of the signing of the Armistice that ended WW1. Help is needed on 11/11 as Rotary is looking after the parking and the burger van. The following people are on Alec's list but he would like to know if he has missed anyone as quite a few of the people listed are involved in the entertainment/tours on the day
so it would be good to spread the load with more helpers on the burger van so shifts are not too long: Jim Bax, Jim Barnes, Bill, Alec, Denise, Morwenna, Peter & Karen, David and Marlene, Julie, Peter W, Belinda, Angelo & Mary, John & Lisa, possibly Nev and Don???

Weekly giggle.......Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it but the longer you stay the more wrinkled you get!
