Zoom Meeting this Monday 4th May at 6: 30 pm. Wear your Race Hat ...our Autumn Race Day event was supposed to be this Sunday ..... may another time!!
Hope you all enjoyed our first virtual meeting last Monday evening. There was a great turnout with Tony Heading zooming in from the Gold Coast, Ann from Brisbane, satelliter Leeanne, Geoff sporting a “Man from Ironbark’ beard , Bill Bonner(thanks to his son David), and Peter(supported by daughter Judy ). Kim, Jim, David. Julie and Mel seem to be very Zoom literate.
Jim Barnes presented the 4 Way Test and Julia did the toast to the essential workers on the frontline of COVD19 . From everyone’s stories it seems that the main highlights of the past 5 weeks have been going to the supermarket and the dump... this isolation has been a great impetus for cleaning out all our junk.
A number of members did their homework and produced a colourful poster for #end polio. Bill was the judge and Julia was the winner. Well done!
Members decided that we should all pay $50 to cover the 10 meetings in April/May / June. This donation will be used to cover the cost of the shelterbox and other small projects, and give each person a ticket in the raffle which will be drawn at the end of June.
The money can be paid by direct credit to the Rotary account or to John Vichie. Further details in my email to you all this weekend.
Members were also happy with the new design for the Club Rotary shirt so that will now be progressed.
Centurion towers can be collected from John Vichie.
